Bridge to Healthcare Careers Program

    The Bridge to Healthcare Careers Program introduces students to careers in the field of health care while improving their academic skills in preparation for taking the High School Equivalency Certificate (HSEC) Tests.

    Instruction integrates basic reading, math and industry knowledge that prepares students to enroll in Morton College's Healthcare Career Certificate Programs.

    Programs include:

    • Certified Nurse Assistant Program (CNA)
    • Advanced Bedside Care Technician (ABCT)
    • Billing and Coding Certificates


    The Bridge Program runs 16 sessions during the Fall and Spring terms.

    Classes are offered Tuesday and Thursday.

    Afternoon classes: 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.             Evening classes: 6 - 9 p.m.      

    The Healthcare Bridge Program Fall 2016 term begins on October 20, 2016.

    For the purposes of compliance with Section 511 of Public Law 101-166 (the Stevens Amendment), approximately 36% of the FY15 funding for Adult Education, Community Programming & Outreach, came from federal sources. The total amount of federal funding received in FY15 was 390,051.
