  • Theft Alert


    An unknown offender, male, w
    earing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a dark backpack has been recently reported in the theft of three (3) bicycles. 

    The thefts occurred at different times of the day and evening. The offender uses a cutting tool to cut the security locks from the stolen bikes.

    Since the three incidents have been reported, officers have requested that students secure their bikes in the bike rack in front of the OAR/Admissions building.

    The Morton College Police Department provides timely warnings to the campus community when certain crimes are reported to Campus Staff and are determined by the Chief of Police (or the chief’s designee) to represent a threat to students and employees.

    Timely warnings will withhold the names of victims as confidential. The Morton College Police Department may issue these warnings via postings on campus, through the Campus Alert System, through local news media, or other methods. The individual or office responsible for issuing the warning will vary depending on how the warning is issued.

    In the event of a serious incident which poses an immediate threat to members of the Morton College community, the college has various systems in place for communicating information quickly to those individuals.

    The Morton College Police Department maintains a campus alert system capable of providing students and employee’s information about unforeseen events and emergencies on campus such as snow closures, building closures, significant traffic interruptions, severe power outages, gas leaks, and threats such as bombs or gunmen.

    MC utilizes Regroup Emergency Notification for emergency notification. Now you can get emergency alerts from MC via text messages, e-mail, and voice notification.

    Students enrolled for classes at the current time will receive messages, as well as currently employed faculty and staff.
