The goals and the functions of the Human Resources Department derive from the Mission Statement of Morton College. We support the goal to maximize the College’s resources to support student learning.

To support student learning, the first objective of the Human Resources Department is to ensure that we are hiring faculty and support staff in a manner that is timely and comports to all federal, state, and local laws.

Secondly, we deploy a compensation strategy and total rewards program that is geared towards retention.

We believe that retention leads to consistency and consistency supports student achievement.

The Human Resources Department will look for continuous improvement within the Morton College operation by providing strategic plans to address Collective Bargaining, employee issues, recruitment, HRIS, compensation, and benefits.
