Our mission is to graduate students considered proficient at the two-year level with either an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) or Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree. The Business Management and Accounting Programs at Morton College will prepare students for successful careers in public accounting, industry, and related fields, or transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Associate in Applied Science in Business Management

The Associate in Applied Science in Business Management degree prepares students for a business career immediately after graduation. It includes basic course in accounting, economics, business and business law.

Business Management Certificate Career Certificate

The Business Management Certificate Career Certificate prepares students for a business career, includes basic courses in accounting, economics, business and business law and can be completed in as little as one year.

Employment Outlook

According to the National Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), demand for professionally trained employees is expected to be strong over the next 10 years and job prospects for customer service representatives are expected to be excellent. In addition, hiring of human resource, training and labor relations managers is expected to grow faster than average for all occupations (17% through 2016).

College graduates with related experience, a high level of creativity and strong computer skills should have the best job opportunities in advertising, marketing and sales.

Professional managers should expect to earn attractive salaries, with office and administrative service managers' salaries ranging from $35,000 to over $50,000.
