Nursing Assistant

Graduates of Morton's Nursing Assistant Program and Advanced Bedside Care Technician course are employed in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, extended care facilities and home health. Morton graduates deliver skilled care that is compassionate and enhances the quality of life for self and others, while providing a strong foundation that supports career advancement.

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) must be able to lift objects and move freely, and have good social skills in able to interact with diverse individuals, families and groups.

The Advanced Bedside Care Technician course builds on skills gained as a Certified Nursing Assistant in providing advanced skills at the bedside, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography and enhanced patient mobility.

Prerequisites
Both programs are rigorous and demanding, and require basic skills in English and communication (written and verbal), as well as basic arithmetic.
Costs

Nursing Assistant Program Total Estimated Costs: $420 (excluding medical requirements) 

Students who continue study as an Advanced Bedside Care Technician will have the following additional approximate minimum fees and expenses:  $280 (estimated)
