36 on Skyway Academic All-Conference Freshmen Team

Morton College had the second-highest number of student-athletes named to the 2013-2014 Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference’s Academic All-Conference Freshmen Team.
 
Those freshmen honored from the eight member schools needed to complete 24 semester hours with a 3.0 grade-point average or higher.
 
A total of 214 student-athletes were honored. Waubonsee Community College led the way with 43, followed Morton College’s 36.
 
“It’s a tribute to the fine young men and women our coaches bring to Morton College,” said Rich Fullriede, Morton College’s athletic director. “They value doing in well in the classroom as well as in athletic competition. I’d also like to thank our tremendous support system of administration, faculty and staff who want to see and help our student-athletes succeed.”
