Assessment at Morton College

The purpose of the assessment of academic outcomes at Morton College is to assess student learning and development, beginning with a student’s entrance to Morton College and continuing through to the student’s point of exit and beyond, to ascertain information that will be used to enhance student learning and development and to improve the overall effectiveness of the institution. The goals for outcomes assessment are to improve the teaching and learning process, to enhance the teaching and learning environment, and to make the college more accountable to its constituents. This will be accomplished through the continual review of current assessment methods and the examination of procedures.
