Project CARE (Community Adult Reading Experience) is Morton College’s volunteer adult literacy program. We use trained volunteer tutors to teach adult students seeking assistance with reading and writing, and/or adults who are learning English as a Second Language. Tutoring services are FREE and are available to all eligible students.
Project CARE students can also use the Adult Education Computer Lab. The lab has educational software programs that can help students build a variety of skills. Students can use the lab on their own, or with the help of a tutor.
Project CARE was founded in 1986 and is grant funded by the Illinois Secretary of State.
We serve the communities of Berwyn, Cicero, Stickney, Lyons, Forest View, McCook, and the surrounding areas, including Chicago.
Project CARE is also a member of Proliteracy America, the largest adult literacy organization in the US.
