Morton College is providing physical examinations for participants in intercollegiate athletics during the 2012-13 academic year. A completed physical examination is required before athletes may practice or compete in games by National Junior College Athletic Association bylaws. The physical is good for one year. All exams are in Room 115C at College located on 3801 S. Central Avenue, Cicero. The cost is $20 and athletes also should bring a form of official identification and a copy of their parent/guardian or own insurance card. Checks should be made payable to Morton College. Student-athletes also will be required to complete mandatory NJCAA eligibility affidavits and Morton College contact information packages. The schedule is: • 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13 – Men’s basketball. • 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 – Softball. • 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 – Baseball. Morton, a two-year community college, offers intercollegiate athletic teams for men and women. Men are eligible for cross-country, basketball, baseball and soccer. Women’s sports include cross-country, volleyball, basketball and softball.
