    <description>Two Morton College students are among those in the 22 pieces selected for the annual Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Juried Art Competition hosted by Waubonsee Community College.The show runs from April 1 to 30 in the Arrowhead Room Gallery, located on the first floor of the Dickson Center of the Waubonsee campus at Route 47 and Waubonsee Drive in Sugar Grove. The public is invited to attend the reception and awards ceremony for the artists from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27.Honored from Morton College are Kathryn A. Budd for Red Movement, an oil painting on canvas; and Faryal Choudhry for Enclosed, a pastel and ink creation on paper. Their works were chosen from 200 pieces submitted by student-artists from the eight member schools in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference. Both have had their works selected for previous Illinois Skyway competitions. Choudhry received an “Award of Excellence” at last year’s show and Budd had a pair of pieces selected in 2011.“Our students are pleased to participate in this exhibition,” said Denise Bellezzo, art instructor at Morton College.The Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference provides competition in athletics and academics for its eight member schools, which include Morton College in Cicero, Elgin Community College, Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, McHenry Community College in Crystal Lake, Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills and College of Lake County in Grayslake.
