Morton College offers a variety of clubs and organizations to match your interests. For more information on any of the following groups, contact the Student Activities Office. Currently recognized clubs on campus include:
Anime Gamers Union (AGU)
Is open to students interested in Anime (Japanese animation)
as well as electronic gaming, board games, and Role Playing
Games (RPG’s). They also sponsor gaming tournaments
and film festivals, and attend the “Anime Central”
Convention in May each year.
Art Club – An organization for Morton College students interested in any kind of art form. Students are also able to show off their artistic talents through art shows and exhibitions.
Automotive Club – The Automotive Club provides educational and social activities for students interested in automobiles.
Belly Dancing Club – An organization devoted to expressing themselves through dance. They offer lessons in Belly Dancing.
Boxing Club – An organization for Morton College students interested in healthy exercise through non-contact boxing training.
Broadway Club – A student-led group that performs original plays and dramatic readings. If you are interested in any aspect of theatre on-stage, back-stage or in the audience, this club is for you!
Campus Activities Board – The Campus Activities Board is a student programming board that creates and produces many campus activities and events. The group provides a wide variety of entertainment, cultural, educational and recreational activities for the Morton College community. They also attend leadership conferences throughout the United States.
College Bowl – The “Varsity Sport of the Mind,” is a chance to compete against other community colleges in this fast-paced, question-and-answer game.
Collegian Newspaper – One of the state’s oldest community college newspapers has a solid reputation for its in-depth reporting of Morton news and events.
Kosho Ryu Kempo Club – The main objective is to provide students with high quality Martial Arts instruction in a positive, safe and encouraging environment.
Men’s Soccer Club – This club is for male students who are interested in soccer as well as participating and hosting soccer tournaments on and off campus.
Morton Ambassador Program (MAP) – The Morton Ambassadors Program (MAP) is a volunteer program comprised of a diverse and motivated group of students committed to promoting Morton College on and off campus.
Nursing Students Association – This group promotes educational and social activities for nursing students.
Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society – Theta Omicron is the Morton College chapter of this international honor society. The international Web site is located at www.ptk.org.
Physical Therapist Assistants Club – The PTA Club stresses social and educational activities for students in the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Project Green – The main purpose of the Project Green is to promote environmental issues within the college community. Through organized discussions and activities, the club aims to involve students, regarding environmental programs, within the college as well as off campus in the community.
Student Association Board – The Student Association is made up of officers elected from the student body and representatives of all recognized organizations on campus. The Association represents students’ interest to the College and community.
Women’s Soccer Club – This club is for female students who are interested in soccer as well as participating and hosting soccer tournaments on and off campus.
Leadership Development Activities
