The Board of Trustees Election will be held April 6, 2021, as part of the 2021 consolidated election.

Candidates may begin circulating petitions on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

The 2021 Candidate’s Guide is available from the State Board of Elections, 2329 S. MacArthur Boulevard, Springfield, IL 62704, (217) 782-4141 or may be downloaded from their website at: https://www.elections.il.gov/

The filing period will be December 14-21, 2020.  Candidates may submit petitions and all required forms in person or by a representative to the Office of the President, 3801 Central Ave., Cicero, IL 60804 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.). Candidates may also submit petitions and all required forms via mail to this same address, Morton College 3801 Central Ave., Cicero, IL 60804.  However, all materials must be received during and before the closing of the prescribed filing period on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, anyone planning to visit the campus location must comply with the College’s safety procedures posted at: https://www.morton.edu/covid-19-morton-college-response/

The period for filing objections to nomination papers will be 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on the following five (5) dates:  Tuesday, December 22, 2020; Wednesday, December 23, 2020; Monday, December 28, 2020; Tuesday, December 29, 2020; and Wednesday, December 30, 2020. While the College is closed during a portion of the objection filing period, the local election official will provide contact information to arrange access to the building for the purpose of filing objections.  This information will be posted on the door of the main entrance of the College as well as on the College’s website.
