Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program Outcomes

Morton College tracks program outcomes in accordance with the definitions established by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Program outcomes include graduation rate, licensure examination pass rate, and employment rate.

Understanding the Data

Cohort: A group of students who matriculate at the same time with the expectation that they will also complete the program at the same time.

Graduation Rate: The percentage of students who are matriculated in the first course in the professional program after the drop/add period and who complete the program

Employment Rate: The percentage of graduates who sought employment that were employed (full-time or part-time) as a physical therapist assistant within 1 year following graduation.

First-Time Pass Rate: The percentage of graduates who take and successfully pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) on the first attempt.

Ultimate Pass Rate:The percentage of graduates who take and successfully pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) within one year of graduation.
