Project CARE (Community Adult Reading Experience)

"Never doubt that a small group of committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

– Margaret Mead –

Founded in 1986, Project CARE matches trained adult volunteer tutors with adult students who seek assistance with reading, writing or math, and/or learning English as another language. These services are free, and are available to all eligible students. Enrollment in adult education classes is not necessary to request a tutor.

Tutoring occurs on the Morton College campus, as well as local libraries. One resource available to the student and tutor is the Adult Education Computer Lab, which has educational software programs.

Project CARE is a member of Proliteracy America, the largest adult literacy organization in the United States.
