The Morton College Library provides a variety of resources for instruction, research and learning by students, faculty, staff and community residents.
The library carries over 50,000 books, CD’s, and DVD’s to support the curriculum, studies, and interests of the Morton College community. You can begin exploring through our Online Catalog, searching by either a topic, author, or title. To check out these items, you will need a student ID available at the Student Success Center.
In addition to the holdings of the Morton College library, current Morton College Students and Faculty/Staff have borrowing privileges at 80 different college and university libraries through our I-Share system, giving students access to over 32 million books, CD’s, DVD’s, and other items. For more information, visit our I-Share Guide
Morton College also has over 70 databases in a wide variety of disciplines available online 24/7 to the Morton College community. These resources can be accessed anywhere, both on and off-campus. When off-campus, you will simply have to enter your Panther Portal/Blackboard username and password.
Get started by exploring the Databases by Subject page to see our many exciting databases, arranged by the discipline in which the database focuses, or try Databases by Title.
To help make sense of all the information available at the Morton College Library, the librarians have created a number of different Research Guides. These Research Guides provide guidance for those looking to find information in a given topic or discipline by showing all the database in that subject area, highlighting new and helpful books in the area, providing links to pertinent websites, and giving helpful hints to researchers.
While these guides are ever-growing, below is a list of the current guides available at our library:
