Financial Aid Self-Service

To check your financial aid status, satisfactory academic progress status, and any outstanding checklist items, please visit Financial Aid Self Service through the Panther Portal.

 

To access the Self-Service system, log into Panther Portal, then:

  • Under “Self-Service Menu” select “Students.”
  • Select “Financial Aid” followed by “FA Self-Service.”

Disbursements and Refunds

The Financial Aid Office starts the disbursement process around the 5th week of the term.

Disbursements will take place at least twice a month.  We recommend you sign up for direct deposit through the Panther Portal to get your refunds as quickly as possible.  Click here for more information on direct deposits.

For those students who do not sign up for direct deposit will have their refund checks mailed to them.

Please know we will process funds as quickly as possible and will communicate updates for each disbursement.  Please check your MC student email account for updates and disbursement notices.  For information on checks and direct deposits please contact the Cashier’s Office at 708.656.8000 Ext. 2268

How to Submit Documents

Students are encouraged to check Financial Aid Self Service to see what required documents are needed to complete the financial aid process.  Students and parents (dependent students) are required to print, Complete, sigh, and upload the documents through their self-service portal. Please only submit forms that are on your required documents list.  Forms will not be accepted in person, via fax, or by mail.

Books and Access Codes

If you qualify for a book voucher please use the below link for instructions on how to use your book voucher online.

 

  • Please note that book vouchers are only available at the start of the term. Please refer to the financial aid calendar for the dates.

 

  • SUMMER BOOK VOUCHERS. There is a brief period between the spring and summer terms. The Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) process is ran once grades are posted. Students may be allowed access to their summer book voucher before the SAP process is completed. Please be advised that if it is determined that you are not eligible for financial aid for the summer term you will be responsible for all charges and purchases. Please check self-service and your MC email for updates on your SAP status.
