These placement options are for students whose major at a four year university does not require Calculus I. These majors would require a Statistics or Calculus for Business and the Social Sciences course. These tend to be students in business, finance, marketing, economics, and biological or social sciences, among others.
The length of a course sequence is determined by the placement of the student. Students are placed based on their high school math course results, college or dual credit math course results, ACT or SAT scores, or their score on a placement test.
