Social and Behavioral Sciences

Morton College's Social and Behavioral Sciences courses provide opportunities for students to develop a broad global and cultural awareness that provides insights into human behavior and helps develop strong interpersonal skills.

The Social and Behavioral Sciences Department brings a wide range of disciplines together – Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology – to provide a basis for students to understand the cultural, political and social factors that influence their lives.

Coursework in Social and Behavioral Sciences courses develops flexible and adaptable learning styles, research skills, critical thinking and communications skills that are essential can lead to careers in Media, Advertising and Marketing, Financial Services, Business Management and Academia.

At Morton, Social and Behavioral Sciences courses help students fulfill general education requirements toward their degrees at the College and prepare them for further study at four-year institutions.
