To check your financial aid status, satisfactory academic progress status, and any outstanding checklist items, please visit Financial Aid Self Service through the Panther Portal.
To access the Self-Service system, log into Panther Portal, then:
- Under “Self-Service Menu” select “Students.”
- Select “Financial Aid” followed by “FA Self-Service.”

How to Contact Financial Aid

Students can reach financial aid by phone from 10 am – 4:30 pm at: 708-656-8000 Ext 2628. Please note, we may be experiencing unusually high call volumes so if you are unable to reach us by phone, please email your financial aid advisor noted below.
We have a team of financial aid advisors and assistants available to answer your questions in a timely manner. To ensure we adhere to identity verification requirements, we are requiring all students to communicate with the Financial Aid Office using their MC student email accounts. Please use your student email account to email the Financial Aid Office’s general email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond to your email within 48 hours.

Financial Aid's Virtual Office
Morton College is open for the fall term. Access to the campus is limited, most classes and services remain online due to Covid-19. The Office of Financial Aid is accessible for live questions, referrals, and assistance via a virtual office using Zoom. The virtual office will be staffed Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.
When you join the Zoom meeting you will be placed in a waiting room. This room will allow us to complete a call before allowing another call to come through to respect the privacy of all users. Your request will be answered in the order received.

Disbursements and Refunds
The Financial Aid Office will continue to disburse and refund financial aid funds remotely.
Disbursements will take place at least twice a month. We recommend you sign up for direct deposit through the Panther Portal to get your refunds as quickly as possible. Click here for more information on direct deposits.
For those students who do not sign up for direct deposit will have their refund checks mailed to them.
Please know we will process funds as quickly as possible and will communicate updates for each disbursement. Please check your MC student email account for updates and disbursement notices. For information on checks and direct deposits please contact the Cashier’s Office at 708.656.8000 Ext. 2268
How to Submit Documents
Students are encouraged to check Financial Aid Self Service to see what required documents are needed to complete the financial aid process. Students and parents (dependent students) are required to print, complete, sign, and email the documents to the appropriate financial aid advisor. Please Note: Documents that require a signature from student and/or parents must be a “Wet Signature” on the document. Printed or typed names on the signature line will not be rejected. Please only submit forms that are on your required documents list. Forms will not be accepted in person, via fax, or by mail.
Books and Access Codes
In light of the current situation with Coronavirus and the need to maintain social distancing, we’re offering students the option to purchase books online and have them mailed to you.
