Associate in Arts Degree Course Sequences: An AA degree is for students who plan to pursue a Bachelor’s of Arts degree at a four year university. Examples of BA majors include:
- Humanities (English, History, Foreign Languages, Philosophy, …)
- Music
- Criminal Justice
- Political Science
- Education
- Business
- And more
Associate in Fine Arts Degree Course Sequence: An AFA degree is for students who plan to pursue a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree at a four year university.
Associate in Science Degree Course Sequences: An AS degree is for students who plan to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science degree at a four year university. Examples of BS majors include:
- Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, …)
- Technology
- Mathematics and Statistics
- Business
- Education
- Health Sciences
- And more
Associate in Engineering Science Degree Course Sequences: An AES degree is for students who plan to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering at a four year university.
Associate in Applied Science Degree Course Sequences: An AAS degree is for students who plan to pursue employment beyond graduation. AAS degrees that require math a Morton College include:
- Accounting
- Automotive
- Business Management
- Computer Aided Design
- Computer Information Systems
- Computer Support Specialist
- Computer Network Security
- Fire Science Technology
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
- Nursing (The AAS Nursing does not require math but the BS Nursing does)
